Never got a sound out of this "mic"

iPhone 5S

Maybe its me? So I wAit a week and try
with a different speaker & cable. Still came up
00, nada, zilch, skunked, strike 3!
No choice but delete. Would be very useful
with Bluetooth added. Could stash a small
Speaker and really get some sh*t talking done
